Alys Jackson Violin

​

Alys trained at The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Her career has encompassed many musical styles including classical, pop and jazz music. She has worked with many orchestras including Ulster Orchestra, Opera NI, Camerata Ireland, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Southbank Sinfonia.Alys was a member of the band in the West End musical 'Sinatra'. Alys has also toured with opera singer Andrea Bocelli, made several TV appearances with Jools Holland and has played with many bands incuding Belle and Sebastian, McFly and Joss Stone.

Niamh McGowan Violin

​

Niamh is also a graduate of The Royal Northern College of Music. Niamh has worked with the country's leading orchestras aswell as Scottish Ballet and Theatre de la Monnaie, Brussels. As a freelance musician Niamh has made several radio and TV appearances on shows like The X-Factor and has played with some of the biggest names in the industry including Michael Bublé, Josh Grobin, Pink, Belle and Sebastian, Ben Folds and Lady Gaga.

Coleen McMullan Viola

​

Coleen currently works full time with ASQ and as a freelance musician and tutor. She studied performance at Queens University Belfast and holds Associate Licentiate Diplomas from Trinity College London. As a violinst Coleen was a member of Castleward Festival Orchestra on a tour of Switzerland and Castleward Opera Orchestra. Coleen has performed in concert with various artists including Sir Cliff Richard, The Corrs, Ronan Keating, Brian Kennedy, Paddy Casey, Peter Corry and Russell Watson. She has recently recorded with NI Music prize winner Arborist and enjoys a varied career including TV, session work and plays regularly at corporate events and weddings.

Rozzie Curlett Cello

​

Rozzie began her studies at The Royal College of Music, graduating with a first-class honours degree. In 2017 Rozzie moved to Belfast to take up a full-time position with The Ulster Orchestra. She has appeared with many of the UK's leading orchestras and has had the opportunity to perform all over the world. Rozzie has recorded music for various recording labels including Deutsche Grammophon and Chandos, as well as performing on the latest film soundtracks recorded at Abbey Road Studios. She has also been fortunate enough to perform alongside some of the world's leading artists and bands including Nicola Benedetti, Idina Menzel, The 1975 and Russell Watson to name a few. A particular highlight included performing on the iconic pyramid stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2017, and the Game of Thrones Live Concert Tour at the SSE Arena. Rozzie has made several TV appearances , the most notable being playing the role of a young gifted cellist on the ITV drama 'Kingdom', alongside Stephen Fry. In her spare time Rozzie is a passionate teacher holding positions at Campbell College and Ulster College of Music and she works closely with the education and outreach work of the Ulster Orchestra.
